Simon Connor is a Manchester based acoustic artist. Originally a solo performer, Simon developed his musical style for two years, intertwining fingers picked guitars with haunting vocal melodies. His debut EP, Seaside Surprise was released in July 2008, followed by promotional shows around the UK, including sit in sessions for Channel M and BBC Radio Manchester.
After writing and recording new material, Simon realised he needed a fuller and more detailed sound, so he enlisted the help of close friends Chris Briden and Brendan Williams to begin performing as a three piece band. Three part vocal harmonies and extra instrumentation have lended a new multi layered dimension to the the songs, and the band have quickly gained a solid reputation from their strong live performances. Echoes of Radiohead, Nick Drake and CSNY can be heard in their imaginatively textured sound.
